PIMA COUNTY, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Pima Animal Care Center (PACC) is hosting its version of ‘speed dating' in honor of Valentine's Day.

Prospective owners will get a chance to spend five minutes with each pet that meets certain base criteria. PACC volunteers will be on hand to answer any potential owner questions.

Those pets and owners that ‘click' can go on a tryout walk around the park, to see if the match is the right one and get to know one another better.

This speed dating event kicks off on Saturday, Feb. 15 from noon to 3 p.m.  Adoption fees will be waived all weekend long (the $15 licensing fee still applies).

As an added incentive for adoptions - PACC will also be open from noon to 3 p.m. on February 17, President's Day, a county holiday when the facility is normally closed.
