TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Police removed a dozen dogs from a Patagonia home, southeast of Tucson, and cited the owners for animal cruelty.

The Marshal's Office came for the boxers and bull mastiffs last week after finding filthy conditions on the property. Eight puppies are now going to a rescue shelter.

The owners also gave up three adult dogs. In addition to animal cruelty, they're facing other charges, including failing to have the dogs vaccinated.
