TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The Sheriff's Department announced the county's newest and youngest SWAT Team member is on duty for the day.

Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik swore in 6-year-old Moses Thompson Wednesday in a private ceremony before immediately assigning him to the Pima Regional SWAT Team.

Moses, who has an undiagnosed illness, trained with SWAT Team members by doing the obstacle course, breached a door, put a "bad guy" in handcuffs and explored a helicopter, officials said.

PCSD Deputy Tracy Suitt said Moses has always admired law enforcement and the SWAT Team.
