    Verna Carrillo died only days after starting a new pain management prescription in March of 2016. Doctor Gregory J. Porter is scheduled for a hearing Wednesday, February 21, before an administrative law judge for his treatment of her as a patient.

    A woman was seriously hurt last week when the motorcycle she was riding on ran into a rope that had been strung across a road on Tucson's southeast side.

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Three people were injured Wednesday after being struck by a car near the University of Arizona.

Tucson Police say the driver backed up too far on the curb outside a Chipotle restaurant on University Blvd. near the campus, hit a bench and pushed it toward the building.

Three people on the sidewalk were hurt but are expected to be alright.

Tucson police are investigating. It was unknown if citations were issued.

    The Pima County Board of Supervisors reversed a decision made two weeks ago and has decided to accept a federal Stonegarden federal grant from the Department of Homeland Security for $1.4 million. The money will be used by the Pima County Sheriff's Department as part of its border strategy with federal agencies.
