TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Five people, including one wheelchair-bound person, have been displaced after an apartment fire on Tucson's east side.

It happened at an apartment complex located at 3402 South Pantano Road.

Capt. Barrett Baker with the Tucson Fire Department said they got the call around midnight, and had the fire under control in around 20 minutes. He says the fire was contained to two apartments, but they are a total loss.

Three people were rescued through a window. One person was taken to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.

The Red Cross is assisting the five people who are now out of their homes.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
