TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A student at a Florence school was found to be carrying a notebook that contained a list of names of more than a dozen students and school faculty, police say.

Faculty at Anthem K-8 School in Florence became aware that the eighth grader had been texting a friend about thoughts of suicide.

According to police, school staff talked to the boy and found a notebook that had the words "death note" and the list of names in his bag.

There were no explicit threats in the notebook, police said.

The student was pulled from school and is receiving treatment.

The police chief has been at the school speaking with students and parents.
