TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Border authorities arrested a man suspected of attempting to smuggle $147,500 worth of marijuana into Douglas on Wednesday, officials said.

A drug-sniffing dog with U.S. Customs and Border Protection stopped 22-year-old Mexican national Manuel Tarango-Nunez at the Port of Douglas with 295 pounds of pot hidden throughout his Nissan truck, according to a news release.

Tarango-Nunez was referred to Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations.
