TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A husband killed his wife early Saturday morning when he struck her with his car, according to Tucon Police. He is now being charged with murder.

Police say 48-year-old Todd Rounds was driving his vehicle under the in influence of alcohol when he struck his wife, 47-year-old Donna Rounds at the northbound lanes of Krissy Avenue, just south of Vendela Street.

Donna Rounds was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Sgt. Chris Widmer of the TPD.

The vehicle involved in the accident, a 2000 Ford F150 pickup truck, had been moved the man's home by the time officers arrived. It seems that the man went home after the accident, called 911, and returned to the scene. Police determined that alcohol was a factor in the incident.

Todd Rounds was booked into Pima County Jail for one count of 2nd degree murder.
