A Tucson man suffered life-threatening injuries after three robbery suspects allegedly assaulted him and his girlfriend in a northwest side apartment.
Pima County Sheriff's Department Deputy Tracy Suitt said three men kicked in an apartment door in the 3200 block of W. Ina Road just before 1 p.m. and allegedly assaulted the 20-year-old man who lived there. The victim's girlfriend reportedly came out of the bedroom to see what was happening and was also assaulted, according to a news release.
Suitt said the man was stabbed multiple times and taken to a local trauma center. The woman refused to be treated.
The Sheriff's Department Robbery Assault Unit identified the suspects as 21-year-old Richard Poulin, 25-year-old Mark Perkins and 27-year-old Larry Shane Denney. They were booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Center on charges of attempted first degree murder, aggravated robbery, aggravated assault and armed robbery.
