One man is dead this morning after an overnight incident in South Tucson.
South Tucson Police reported that shortly after midnight they received a call about a possible shooting near South 6th Avenue and 40th Street, near Interstate 10.
When they arrived officers found a male victim in the roadway east of 40th Street, who had died from a gunshot wound to the head, according to police.
According to South Tucson Police, detectives were on scene to conduct interviews with witnesses.
Authorities described the shooting suspect as Hispanic with a thin build. They determined the suspect and victim were in an altercation before the shooting.
Anyone with information is urged to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
A cash reward of up to $1,000 is offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment of the person involved, authorities said.
