Some AZ lawmakers push for Hotshot memorial

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Some Arizona lawmakers want to establish a state memorial park to honor the 19 firefighters killed in the Yarnell Hill Fire.

Dozens of state legislators are co-sponsoring a bill to establish the park.

All but one member of the Granite Mountain Hotshots died last summer while battling the fire near Prescott.

The bill would appropriate $500,000 to acquire the site and would establish a fund for maintaining the memorial.
