Travel restrictions in place for rodeo parade

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Tucson Rodeo Parade officials remind the public of travel restrictions in place for the 89th Annual Tucson Rodeo Parade.

Sixth Avenue will be closed between Ajo Way and Irvington Road at 7 a.m.The parade starts at 9 a.m.

By 8 a.m., Ajo Way between Sixth Avenue and Park Avenue, Park Avenue between Ajo Way and Irvington Road, and Irvington Road between Park Avenue and Sixth Avenue will be closed.

Officials said access to the Veterans Administration Hospital will be provided on Veterans Boulevard at Sixth Avenue during the street closures for the parade.

All streets are expected to reopen between 12 p.m. and 1 p.m.

Parade personnel suggest arriving to the parade early due to expected traffic delays.
