(CNN) – A Milwaukee mother fights fire with fire to get her daughter to understand the errors of disobeying her orders and the result is going viral.

Lorraine Walls, the mother of 12-year-old Luticia, banished her from social media after Lorraine caught her daughter talking to a young man and plotting a fight on Facebook using a fake profile.

Lorraine decided to teach her a hard lesson by posting a video on Facebook of her getting scolded for disobeying her mother's rules.

The video is going viral and has been seen by more than 500 million people.

Thousands of people are praising Walls for her disciplining tactics, but some were shocked at one of her comments.

"The next time that she's on Facebook and I catch her on Facebook, I'm beating the hell out of her," said Lorraine.

Despite the criticism, Lorraine says she won't let up on her daughter and call it tough love, in a cruel world.
