    The more times you take to the trails at Sabino Canyon, the more likely you are to come across wildlife. "I'm out here every day," said Ben Markwart, who was running through the area on Wednesday. Markwart isn't a stranger to Sabino Canyon.  His friend Kevin Cross joined him on Wednesday. Cross frequents the area a few times a week. 

    The more times you take to the trails at Sabino Canyon, the more likely you are to come across wildlife. "I'm out here every day," said Ben Markwart, who was running through the area on Wednesday. Markwart isn't a stranger to Sabino Canyon. 

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Rio Rico Fire District gave away 62 helmets to children and helped kids learn about the rules of the road at Desert Shadows Middle School in Pena Blanca Highlands Saturday.

The community service event was one in a series that the fire district provides in order to promote safety.

The district set up a course for the kids to ride. It included traffic signs to help kids learn how to stay safe on the road.

    According to Sgt. Pete Dugan of the Tucson Police Department, police were called to the neighborhood near North First Avenue and East Fort Lowell Road for a report of suspicious activity after someone saw the man allegedly trying to possibly strip or steal a car.

    The fire was so hot and bright it lit up the morning sky. That is what one student saw across the street from the construction site fire from yesterday. Danny lives at the University Vista apartments. He’s a grad student at the U of A. He saw the fire and raced to get his car.
