TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Know of a local charity that needs some renovations?  The Arizona Builders' Alliance is looking for candidates for its 2014 Volunteer Day happening on the first Saturday in December.

This event has taken place for 20 years, according to an ABA release.  Each year the ABA selects a charity that is 501c3, in the Tucson area and owns its own building, to renovate.

Last year's recipient was Miracle Square - a housing facility for low income elderly and disabled, received a renovation thanks to more than 200 volunteers from 75 different companies.  According to the ABA more than $100,000 in materials and labor were donated to the upgrades for Miracle Square.

Other renovation recipients include Esperanza En Escalante, Compass Behavioral Health, The Haven, New Beginnings for Women and Children, just to name a few.

The deadline for requests is March 15.

For more information on the project please contact the ABA at (520) 881-7930
