TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Park Rangers recovered skeletal remains, along with abandoned camping gear, from the Hermit Creek drainage within Grand Canyon National Park.

The Coconino County Medical Examiner determined the remains belong to a human and might be associated with a Tucson man's disappearance in 2010, according to Grand Canyon National Park officials.

The remains have not yet been identified.

The National Park Service and the Coconino County Medical Examiner continue the investigation.
