TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The driver of a minivan, identified as Marcos Abel Espinoza-Beltran, was arrested this weekend after a canine alerted to the possibility of drugs in his minivan.

According to a Border Patrol release, agents pulled the van for secondary inspection after the narcotics dog alerted to the drugs.

BP agents, at the DeConcini Port of Entry, found ten packages of methamphetamine behind the rear sliding door panels. The bundles weighed more than 25 pounds and were worth more than $390,000, according to the BP release.

The drugs and vehicle were seized while Espinoza-Beltran, a Mexican citizen, was referred to ICE/HSI for further processing.
