CALEDONIA, WI (WTMJ/CNN) – When Lorena Gonzalez snapped photos of her banged up minivan, she was still shaken and hurting from the force of the crash.
She was in pain because the guy who crashed into her kept on driving. It was hour before she knew who caused the damage. It was 27-years-old Yusef Kindle was picked up as the driver in that hit-and-run.
As Caledonia police explained, Kindle had motive to get away.
"He was operating after suspension and it was no. 26," Caledonia Police Lt. Gary Larsen said.
Kindle has a total of 26 arrests for driving without a license, a fact that stunned Gonzalez, the woman left in pain by his latest alleged flouting of the law.
Gonzalez hopes he gets the message – stop driving now.
"He should not be driving at all, whatsoever. That's what I think," Gonzalez said.
Though Caledonia police doubt a guy who has been breaking the law for so long will suddenly start listening now.
"If you have 26 offenses for operating after suspension, I don't know what's going to keep you off the road other than getting locked up," Larsen said.
