TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A man from Tucson is one of the castaways on the new season of Survivor.

This latest edition takes place in the Philippines. This time, the castaways will split into three tribes: beauty against brains and brawn.

I skyped with Garrett Adelstein, who's a member of the brains tribe.

He grew up here and graduated from the University of Arizona. He now lives in California and is a professional poker player. He hopes his poker skills pay off.

SPOILER ALERT: Please do not read any further if you don't want to know the results of tonight's episode:

Garrett Adelstein was the second person eliminated on this season of  "Survivor."
