    Last week Border Patrol agents seized more than $1 million in marijuana, as suspects attempted to smuggle it across the border into the U.S. In a recent release from U.S. Customs and Border Protection, agents with the Ajo Station, stopped three suspected smuggling attempts on Sept. 11.

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The ladies of the Tucson Roller Derby will be on hand for the 5th Annual Tails & Ails Dog Wash at Barrio Brewery Sunday.

The event is cosponsored by The Humane Society of Southern Arizona and the Tucson Roller Derby. It costs $12 to suds your pup and you can get $2 off if you bring your own towel.

The VIP treatment is also available. For $40 your pet can skip the line enjoy additional services like a nail trim.

The event will also feature music and vendors. Barrio will provide specials on their food and drinks and donate a portion of the proceeds to HSSA and the Tucson Roller Derby.

Last year, the groups made 186 dogs sparkling clean and raised more than $6,300. The proceeds benefit both groups.

Tickets can be preordered at www.hssaz.org.
