A flood warning has been issued in Pima County

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for Southern Pima County lasting until 8:30 p.m.

Their report said that rainfall has exceeded 1.5 inches which, due to poor drainage in areas, can cause flooding. They are warning of flooding in South Central Pima County, which includes the City of Green Valley, Western Santa Cruz county and the City of Nogales. 

They are warning people not to drive into flooded areas and say rain in scheduled to continue through the evening.
