Homes in north Nashville evacuated after gas leak

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Residents have been given the OK to go back inside their homes after a gas leak in north Nashville Monday morning.

A gas line broke around 2:30 a.m. at 4321 Brush Hill Road.

The fire department says everyone from that home got out of the house safely.

About 20 surrounding homes on Ruskin Avenue, Haysboro Avenue and Tanglewood Drive were evacuated.

Police opened up the Metro PD East Precinct community room for evacuees.
