TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

According to a release from the Pinal County Sheriff's Office,Saul Lionel Villa, the alleged domestic violence suspect turned himself in, accompaniedby his attorney on Monday afternoon.

The release stated Villa was wanted for the alleged assault ofhis girlfriend, after an argument the couple had been having. Officials withthe Oro Valley Hospital reported they treated the female victim for lacerationsto the top of her head, marks on her neck and burst blood vessels in her eyes,as well as abrasions to her back, hip and right leg. According to the release,the couple had been drinking at the Oracle Inn Steakhouse Bar and had been arguing,the couple left the bar and continued the argument at home. 

The victim said Villa physically assaulted her by choking her,then struck her with a gun the couple had been struggling with.  She attempted to leave the house, accordingto the statement, but was allegedly dragged back in by the suspect; managing toescape through a bedroom window and calling a family member for a ride to thehospital. 

PCSO deputies were called to the home and searched for Villa,but were unable to locate him.  Anattempt to locate was sent to all state law enforcement agencies, according tothe PCSO release.  The suspect's vehiclewas reported at a residence in Catalina on Sunday. 

Villa was booked into the Pinal County jail, where he facesthe following charges - four counts of aggravated assault, one count ofkidnapping, one count of disorderly conduct with a firearm, one count oftampering with evidence and one count of threatening and intimidating.
