Restivo has filed an action against Cleveland law firm Thompson Hine. Her
ex-husband, Tom Noe, is currently in prison on charges of theft and corruption
in connection to his handling of rare coin investments for Ohio's Bureau of
law firm asked that Restivo sign a nearly $1.9 million mortgage on her home
with them in anticipation of Noe's legal fees in 2006. Restivo, who divorced
Noe after his conviction, is now asking a court to find the mortgage "invalid,
null and void."
says she signed the mortgage under duress and only after the law firm acted
fraudulently. Noe has since admitted to an affair while he was married to
Restivo, but she says his attorneys advised him not to tell her. Had she known,
Restivo says she would not have signed the mortgage.
