PHOENIX (CBS5) -
Three fallen Arizona law enforcement officers were honored Sunday during an annual memorial run and walk fundraiser in Phoenix.
Fallen Phoenix Police Detective John Hobbs, Arizona Department of Public Safety Officer Tim Huffman and Phoenix Police Officer Daryl Raetz were remembered by participants.
The fundraiser was hosted by Concerns of Police Survivors Arizona and the Arizona Peace Officers Memorial Board.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the families and co-workers of fallen officers, funding retreats and other hands-on programs that provide peer support for survivors.
The program enables survivors to begin to rebuild their lives with others whose loved ones have suffered the same fate.
Hobbs, a 21-year veteran of the Phoenix Police Department, was killed in a shootout with a violent convicted felon March 3.
On May 6, DPS Officer Huffman was investigating an accident when he was struck and killed by a tractor trailer on Interstate 8.
On May 19, Officer Daryl Raetz, 26, was making a DUI stop when he was hit and killed at 51st Avenue and Cambridge. Later the same day, Phoenix Firefighter Bradley Harper died from injuries he suffered the day before.
