TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Not a day passes by that Sandra Medina doesn't think about what was taken from her family: her 19-year-old son Juan Ruben Rodriguez.

An emotional plea for justice came from the family of the victim in the cold case murder investigation.  US Marshals say Rodriguez was shot and killed 14 years ago at a party on the west side.

Rodriguez's mother and daughter are asking the public to help find the suspect Anthony Seth Burroughs. Rodriguez's daughter broke down in tears when she spoke about how difficult it is to grow up without a father.

Sandra Medina, Rodriguez's mother, says she wants justice to be served, "Everyday I live with the pain and to me it happened just yesterday. You go on with your life for 14 years, not knowing if there is ever going to be justice, if this man Anthony Burroughs will ever get caught."

US Marshals say the suspect fled to the Philippines right after the deadly shooting. However, Burroughs may be back in the country. He is considered armed and dangerous.

At the time of the crime, Burroughs was 5'7" and 200 pounds. Today, he's 35 years old and might be using a fake name. The words "hate" and "love" are tattooed on his left and right arms. His last name, "Burroughs," is tattooed on his back. His daughter's name, Adriana, tattooed across his chest.

If you have any information about this man, call 911 or 88-CRIME. A reward up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to the whereabouts of the suspect.
