Tuesday night's Mega Millions jackpot is an estimated $400 million.
Since Nevada doesn't have a lottery, people are making the drive to Arizona and California to buy tickets for a chance to be a millionaire.
At Arizona's Last Stop, about 20 miles south of Hoover Dam, the lines were short but steady on Monday. But they are expected to be longer on Tuesday prior to the 8 p.m. drawing.
The people at Arizona's Last Stop say 80 percent of their business comes from Southern Nevadans who can't play the lottery in their own backyard.
"I'm a regular player, but for $400 million you drive out to Arizona right?" said Las Vegas resident Charles Packard. "A dollar and a chance to win $400 million. It's a good opportunity. For me it beats going down and getting a 50-50 chance to win a couple of dollars. It's just disposable income."
The cash payout is $225 million, and the odds of winning are 1 in 258 million.
The Mega Millions drawings are on Tuesday and Friday nights at 8 p.m.
Ticket sales cut off at 6:59 p.m.
You can buy tickets for up to five weeks in advance.
