The 16th Annual Southern Arizona Race for the Cure

When:       Sunday, March 30, 2014 

Time:         6 a.m. Registration opens

                  Race times: 7 a.m. 1-mile Walk Starts

                                     8 a.m. 5K Competitive Run Starts

                                     8 a.m. 5K Non-Competitive Run/Walk Starts

Where:       University of Arizona, Tucson Course Map of UA MALL

Free parking available at all parking garages and surface lots on Race day.                                         

Registering for the 2014 Race can be done several ways, Register Online, in-person or send in your manual registration form.

Register in-person: 4770 East Grant Road (Petsmart/Trader Joes shopping center) Friday March 28th from noon - 6:30pm, and Saturday March 29th from 9am - 3pm.

***Please join us in supporting the Community Food Bank by donating a jar of peanut butter or a box of cereal at Pre-Race Day Registration, or drop off at our Information tents on Race Day.

Race Day Schedule:

6:00-7:45 am  - Late Registration and Packet Pickup

6:00-11:00 am - Komen Shop Open

7:00-11:00 am - Expo/Food &  Beverages Open & Entertainment Begins on Stage

7:00 am - One Mile Run/Walk (Non-competitive)

8:00 am - 5K Competitive Run

8:00 am - 5K Non-Competitive Run/Walk

9:30 am - Awards Program

9:45 am - Survivor Ceremony

If you can't make it to the Race for the Cure, sleep in instead!

 

If you:

* are on vacation or out of town

* have a night job

* work on Race day

* are an out-of-town relative or friend

* don't live in the vicinity of the Race

* are not an early riser...

 

Sunday, March 30, you can skip Race for the Cure and still raise money!

    Every year, 60,000 children are seen in emergency rooms because they got into medicine. Keith Bosen, director of the Arizona Poison and Drug Information Center, said they get about 10 calls a day about a child under the age 6 getting into some sort of medication.
