    Oakland Athletics catcher Bruce Maxwell pressed a hand against his chest and took to a knee for the national anthem for the second straight day, part of the protest movement that has been criticized by President Donald Trump.

(CNN) – Painful back spasms will keep Tiger Woods off the golf course for this weekend's Arnold Palmer Invitational in Orlando, FL, he announced Tuesday in a statement.

Woods says he regrets not being able to take part in the event on his website. He will continue to be evaluated and work closely with his doctors to treat his bad back.

The championship golfer has won Palmer's tournament eight times.

Tiger also said in his statement that "it's too early to know about the Masters" tournament in April.
