Tucson, AZ -

Pima Community College Athletic Trainer Ben Carbajal will add another accolade to his incredible career when he travels to Provo, UT to be inducted into the Rocky Mountain Athletic Trainers' Association (RMATA) Hall of Fame.

The ceremony will take place during the association's annual meeting from April 10-14. Five inductees selected will be recognized for "making significant contributions to the profession of athletic training through clinical advancement, scholarly research, and service."

Carbajal has dedicated 35 years of service as an athletic trainer to Pima Community College.

He received the National Athletic Trainer Association's 2012 Bill Chisolm Professional Service Award in July 2012 and was a inductee into the inaugural Pima Community College Athletics Hall of Fame in April 2013.

"I am deeply honored to have been selected for induction into the RMATA Hall of Fame," Carbajal said in an email. "This award is an opportunity to thank my family, friends, professional colleagues, and my Pima Community College family for allowing me the opportunity and lending their support throughout my athletic training career. To be recognized as worthy of RMATA Hall of Fame induction is pause for reflection. Words cannot describe my immense joy and gratitude."
