UA Wildcats arrive in CA, not many tickets left to watch game

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

For all those Wildcat fans that have waited until the last minute - there is still time to drive to San Diego to see UA play.

Driving there might be the easy part, getting tickets to see the Cats play could be another matter.

The official NCAA ticket provider - Primesport.com is sold out of tickets.  There might be a slim chance for fans to get UA tickets online at www.stubhub.com, last check there were 70 tickets left for purchase, with the cheapest ticket price at $140.

The Wildcats arrived late to San Diego; they showed up about three hours later than their expected time - tired and ready for rest, but eager to play.

Practice rounds start at noon Thursday, when the locker rooms open up. These will be the only practices the Wildcats will get before taking on Utah's Weber State.

If the U of A wins that game, they will then play the winner of the Gonzaga vs. Oklahoma State game this Sunday.  If they win that game the Cats will make an appearance at the 'sweet 16' next week.

UA plays Utah's Weber State on Friday at 11:10 a.m. Tucson time at Viejas Arena.  For those fans that are not able to make it in person, the game airs on TNT.
