TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

New members have been announced for Marana's Community Food Bank Advisory Board. 

"The Community Food Bank is fortunate to have the talent and experience of these new members," said Linda Hampton, Executive Director in a recent release.  "Each is a welcome addition to an already strong board.

The following are new members - Carson Mehl from Cottonwood Properties was elected in a Feb. 2014 meeting; David Kerr, ACO/PCMH Coordinator; Marsha Regrutto, retired from Trico Electric Cooperative as a Marketing and Services Manager; and Vicky Sibley, a Fry's Food and Drug Store Manager - were all elected to the board at a March 12 meeting.  Each will serve a three year term on the board.

The Marana Community Food Bank provides emergency food assistance to residents of Rillito, Cortaro, Avra Valley, Oro Valley, Marana, Picture Rocks and northwest Tucson. 

More than 1,900 families receive help each month, according to the Marana Community Food Bank, which is a branch of the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona.
