    Crews are still working to clear the tracks after an overnight derailment in Pinal County. There were no injuries reported and nothing hazardous was on the train cars. Authorities say the track could be cleared up of cars by noon.

    The Towns of Oro Valley and Marana, as well as Golder Ranch Fire District are offering free sandbags to residents who need to protect their homes. According Oro Valley and Marana officials, a limited number of sandbags are available to residents of both towns; residents within the Golder Ranch Fire District service area are also eligible.

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Diamond Children's and the UASteele Children's Research Center received a big donation after a February fundraiser. 

The Magic Carpet Ride Gala, raised$125,000 for the centers that in turn will use the funds for autoimmunedisorders research and clinical programs.

The event, held at the JWMarriott Starr Pass Resort, was attended by 500 guests.  Highlights included a music video by AmericanAuthors that incorporated patients, doctors, nurses, researchers, hospitaladministrators and staff.  To see thevideo click here.  Another highlight was a speech by AustinThacker, a teen battling stage 4 non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, he received a standingovation.

 "We are so grateful for everyone whoparticipated in this truly magical evening to improve children's health—throughresearch at the Steele Center and clinical programs at Diamond Children's,"said Fayez K. Ghishan, MD,physician-in-chief of Diamond Children's and director of the UA Steele Centerin a recent release.
