Motor home fire closes I-10 exit ramp

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A motor home caught fire on I-10 westbound near Grant Road Saturday afternoon, according to Tucson Fire Department PIO Chris Jurvig.

The driver of the 20 foot motor home pulled over because he thought something was wrong with the engine. The vehicle then erupted into frames. The driver suffered minor injuries but was not taken to the hospital.

The westbound exit at Grant Road is scheduled to be closed until after 5:00 p.m.

    Emergency crews rushed to a Wells Fargo RV Park in Tombstone just before 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, according to a Facebook post from the Tombstone Marshal's Office. First responders and neighbors helped everyone outside of the burning structures, according to the post.
