TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The Tucson Police Department has sent four of its commanders to cities that have teams in the NCAA Final Four to observe how police in those cities deal with post-game celebrations.

There was a big difference in the riot this past weekend and the celebratory rally by fans in Wisconsin after the Badgers beat the Wildcats in the Elite Eight on Saturday.

Hundreds of people gathered on University Avenue after the loss, with some throwing bottles and fireworks.

Fifteen people were arrested and some were hurt in the chaotic scene.

It was a different story in Wisconsin where rallies were mostly peaceful. There was no damage reported and no arrests were made.

Tucson Police are hoping to learn from police in the four states that have teams in the Final Four of the NCAA tournament.

One commander each has been sent to Madison, WI; Lexington, KY; Gainesville, FL, and near Hartford, CT. They hope to learn how other law enforcement agencies deal with post-game celebrations after tomorrow night's matchups.
