TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

After an hour and a half, about 1,900 people near Houghton and Fort Lowell have had their power restored, according to TEP PIO Joe Barrios.

The outage is thought to have been caused by equipment failure. A piece of cable need to be replaced, Barrios said.

The customers have been temporarily moved to different circuits so their power will not be interrupted while TEP crews work to repair the failed equipment.
