TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Ike, a black Labrador retriever mix that has been at Pima Animal Care Center since Feb. 15, has been adopted.

Ike was featured on our Tuesday's Tail segment on March 4. Ike had been placed on a 72-hour hold for rescue efforts, which was set to expire Sunday at 5 p.m. If he had not been adopted, he would have been euthanized.

Yesterday, a family adopted Ike, saving his life.

Ike will have two acres of land to play on and lots of other dogs to keep him company, according to Michelle Lindorff, Rescue Coordinator at Pima Animal Care Center.
