FBI documents show Loughner's mental state before Jan. 8 shooting

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Newly released FBI documents show the deteriorating mental state of convicted gunman Jared Loughner leading up to Tucson's January 8 mass shooting.

Loughner is serving multiple life sentences after pleading guilty to the 2011 shooting.

He killed six people and injured 13 others, including then-congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords.

Loughner was diagnosed as a paranoid schizophrenic, but never had a psychiatric evaluation before the shooting.

A lot of the pages describe Jared Loughner's deteriorating mental state.

Back in December of 2010 on his Myspace page, he posted: "There's an important event in my life that's going to happen, but this event is in the near future... Please don't be fearful of my protesting in the future; I told you ahead of time."

He never mentions what type of protests or any real detail, but he did talk about his dreams. He wrote: "There are important figures in my dreams that accomplished political aspirations: Hitler, Hilary Clinton and Giffords to name a few."

You can find all of these documents here.
