TUCSON, AZ (PCL) -

In their return to Tucson, the El Paso Chihuahuas beat the Reno Aces 2-1 Friday, and in the process won back-to-back games for the first time.

The series pits the last two Pacific Coast League franchises to call Tucson home. The Aces played as the Tucson Sidewinders from 1998 to 2008 while the Chihuahuas we known as the Tucson Padres for the last three seasons (2010-2013)

Reno (4-5)  scored the first run of the game in the second inning on an RBI single by Roger Kieschnick. The Chihuahuas tied the game in the fourth when Cameron Maybin doubled and scored on Kyle Blanks' RBI double one batter later. The Chihuahuas (5-3) took the lead on Maybin's sacrifice fly in the sixth inning.

Jason Lane had his second consecutive strong start, allowing only one run in six innings of work. Lane has now combined to pitch 12 innings this year and allow only one total run.

Blaine Boyer pitched two perfect innings in relief and Bobby LaFromboise left the tying run on base in a scoreless ninth inning to pick up his first Chihuahuas' save.

Archie Bradley did just about all he could to get the Aces a win in their first road game of the season. The highly-touted prospect went seven innings and limited the El Paso Chihuahuas to just two runs on three hits.

Next Game: Saturday, vs. Reno, in Tucson at 8:00 pm (El Paso time). Reno RHP Bo Schultz (0-1, 3.60) vs. El Paso RHP Burch Smith (0-1, 12.00). Game coverage begins at 8:00 pm El Paso time on Team 600 ESPN El Paso and www.epchihuahuas.com.
