Patients at Diamond Children's to get special Easter visitors

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Thanks to volunteers from Jazmyn's Lunchbreak the patients at Diamond Children's will be getting some special visitors.

On Friday, April 18, Mickey and Minnie Mouse and the Easter Bunny will be visiting the pediatric patients from noon to 2 p.m., according to a UAMC release.

Volunteers from Jazmyn's Lunch Break, a community nonprofit organization that brings together university students, community and family members of patients receiving treatment at Diamond Childrens, make this all possible.  The goal of Jazmyn's lunch break is to offer patients and family members an hour of 'respite, relaxation, laughter and friendship'.

Several restaurants will be donating to this worthy cause - Jimmy Johns is providing lunch, Dunkin Donuts is donating donuts, while each patient will receive a special Easter basket of goodies made by volunteers from the Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church Academy and Charities.
