Tucson, AZ – A new restaurant is coming to 2502 N. Campbell in the Campbell Shoppes, just North of Grant, next to Cartel Coffee Lab. Goodness Juice Bar & Fresh Food will be opening to the public this Friday, April 18th.
Owners Jason Anderson and Andre Joffroy of Sol Hospitality are looking forward to bringing a quick, healthy food and drink option to Tucson.
"We wanted everything we serve to be fresh and healthy, but didn't want to sacrifice flavor. After a lot of trial and error, I think we were able to achieve this balance. We hired a nutritionist to help develop the menu, and tried to source local, non-gmo options wherever possible," says chef, Pendelton Jones.
With the interior design done by Anderson's company, Anderson Workshop, (previous projects include Union Public House, Cartel Coffee Lab on Campbell, Umi Star and Nox Kitchen and Cocktails) Goodness will make the most of its space with an "order at the counter" format, and seating both inside and in the new, inviting outdoor space with whitewashed picnic tables and custom tree planters.
The interior is bright and modern, with a crisp black and white color scheme that showcases the bright colors of the fresh fruit and vegetables featured in their selection of juices.
"We wanted to create a unique, custom space to add to Tucson's Campbell corridor. Being centrally located, we really saw the need for a quick, healthy food and drink option that would appeal to everyone who uses this main artery of town," Anderson says.
Goodness will offer a variety of fresh pressed juices and "power shakes", with the option to add "boosters" like goji berries, bee pollen and hemp hearts. There are eight different juices on the menu. The "Healing Vibes" juice features carrot, fuji apple, red beet, lemon, ginger and turmeric (with the option to add garlic). Goodness will also offer "power shakes" like the "Hot Tropic", which includes pineapple, mango, banana, coconut milk, coconut butter, chia seeds, dates, mint, honey and vanilla.
Other beverage options on the menu include young coconuts (sliced to order), Maine Root sodas and draft wine, to name a few.
The menu will also showcase breakfast (served all day), acai bowls, salads, sandwiches and "energy bowls". Breakfast offerings include homemade granola, a Greek yogurt bowl, and an egg sandwich made with local, cage free eggs.
For lunch, the menu includes salads, such as the "Quinoa Salad" featuring organic quinoa, spring mix, non-gmo corn, red bell peppers, cilantro, pickled onion, avocado, sun-dried tomatoes, served with a chipotle vinaigrette, and sandwiches, ranging from the more traditional "Turkey, Pesto & Goat Cheese" to "The King" (peanut butter, banana and honey on whole wheat bread, served hot). There are also many vegetarian and gluten free offerings, including the option to use gluten-free bread for any sandwich.
Beginning this Friday, Goodness will be open Friday – Saturday, 7am-7pm and Sunday-Thursday, 7am–5pm.
