The Arizona Department of Transportation said a hazmat situation has closed the Interstate 10 on-ramp at Kino Parkway in Tucson.
Crews on scene said the driver of a tanker noticed something wrong so he pulled over.
When first responders arrived, they noticed a hazardous material warning on the truck.
A hazmat team arrived on scene and analyzed and contained a small spill of what turned out to be material for painting cars. It's flammable, but not an immediate danger to drivers nearby so only one lane of traffic was closed.
Both lanes on westbound I-10 reopened but the on-ramp at Kino remains closed.
Anyone looking for access at Kino will need to find an alternate route, officials said.
