Man pulled over for speeding faces drug charges

SIERRA VISTA, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A Sierra Vista man just released from jail faces multiple drug charges a second time following a traffic stop.

John Thomas Jordan, 32, was released from jail in March on a $500,000 bond, according to Sierra Vista police. They said he was pulled over for speeding on April 16 and officers discovered methamphetamine and heroin in the car.

Sierra Vista Police Community Response Team canine officers found approximately 98 grams of methamphetamine and eight grams of heroin, a hand gun reported stolen in Pima County and more than $3,300 in cash, according to a news release. 

Authorities booked Jordan into the Cochise County Jail and on a $500,000 cash bond and a $500,000 secured bond. He faces charges of possession of dangerous drugs for sale, possession of narcotic drugs for sale, prohibited possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm in commission of a drug felony and possession of stolen property.
