Arizona officers to pass the torch in run for Special Olympics

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Local law enforcement officers will lace up their shoes to participate in a torch run to benefit the Special Olympics.

Officers carry the torch representing the Flame of Hope, dedicated to helping Special Olympics Arizona.

Participants raise money throughout the year through T-shirt sales to benefit the Special Olympics athletes and their supporting programs.

Participants from Southern Arizona include the Nogales Police Department, Santa Cruz Sheriff's Office, Sahuarita Police Department, DPS Tucson, Sierra Vista Police Department, Cochise County Sheriff's Office, Pima Community College, Tucson Airport Authority, Border Patrol Tucson Division, South Tucson Police Department, Tucson Police Department, Oro Valley Police Department, Pima County Sheriff's Department, Tohono Oodham Police Department, Marana Police Department, Pima County Attorney's Office, Pinal County Attorney's Office, and many more.
