U of A hosting job fair on campus

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Happening today a huge job fair for the U of A graduating class of 2014; thousands of Wildcats are weeks away from graduation, and many are looking to begin a new career.

Looking for a job just as they are about to graduate can be stressful for students, but experts say do not let it overwhelm them, just stay focused.

The University of Arizona Education and Nonprofit career fair is aimed toward students majoring in education, social studies or engineering.

U of A Career Services recommends students dress professionally and bring several copies of their resumes to the job fair, to help them stand apart from the 'competition.'

Career Services also say do not use a phone to talk or text on while talking to a potential employer, stay focused and show interest in whatever job they are applying for.

There will be nearly 80 schools and companies at the job fair, looking for future employees.

For those who are not quite sure what type of job they are looking for, Career Services recommends becoming a substitute teacher while they figure it out.   As long as they have a bachelor's degree, anyone can be a substitute teacher in Arizona.

The job fair is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the Student Union on the U of A campus.
