One person killed in Murfreesboro house fire

MURFREESBORO, TN (WSMV) -

One person has died after a fire Tuesday afternoon on Minor Street in Murfreesboro.

The fire was reported just before 4 p.m., and officials said it started in a bedroom.

The victim, whose identity has not been released, was pronounced dead at Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the fire marshal's office.

Investigators say it appears there were no working smoke detectors in the home.

    A man entered the Walmart Neighborhood Market at Camino Seco and Broadway on Monday, Sept. 25 and began waving a gun around, according to Sgt. Kim Bay, spokeswoman for the Tucson Police Department.
