Business owners concerned after deadly robbery

Phoenix police are still looking for the suspects wanted in a deadly robbery at a local smoke shop. Investigators say a 47-year-old employee at the Smoke-N-Pipe shop off of Fifth Avenue and Indian School was killed Tuesday during a robbery. Relatives say the victim is the owner, Kadhim Altae.

"It's terrifying, man. It's terrifying. It makes you think safety. What's the first thing I can do to prevent this from happening to me?" asked Tim Bolling, owner of Tim's Convenience Store.

Bolling's shop is just a few blocks from where Tuesday's robbery and killing happened.

"My main concern is the safety of my employees. That's constantly on my mind," he said.

In addition to cameras, Bolling also keeps himself armed.

"Hopefully [the gun] kinds of deters them," he stated.

And because his store is open 24 hours, he makes sure his employees always remain vigilant.

"You've got to stay focused. I instruct my employees, 'When you're here at night, keep an eye out on the front door," said Bolling.

In the case of Tuesday's robbery and killing, police are looking for a 2004 Gold Cadillac Escalade SUV with Arizona tags AJH2733.
