Residents in Sierra Vista and Fort Huachuca are being asked to serve as city commission members, helping the mayor and city council to make decisions and participate in issues.

Anyone with a residential mailing address within the postal boundaries of 85613, 85635 or 85650 is considered qualified to be a member.

Only people in this area are eligible to serve as voting commission members. City and county residents are also welcome to participate, but only as non-voting advisory members.

The openings available currentl yand in the near future are on the following commissions:

  • Airport Commission
  • Art and Humanities Commission
  • Commission on Disability Issues
  • Commission on Cultural Diversity
  • Environmental Affairs Commission
  • Library Advisory Commission
  • Municipal Property Commission
  • Parks and Recreation Commission
  • Planning & Zoning Commission
  • Sister Cities Commission
  • Tourism Commission
  • Youth Commission
  • West End Commission
