TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Users of The Loop should exercise caution, starting on May 6, as concrete is poured along Pantano Wash, southeast of Michael Perry Park.

The Loop will not close during this time, but concrete trucks will be moving through the area. Those in the area of construction will be asked to move off to the shoulder or to a safe pull-out location when work vehicles need to pass.

The concrete work, ordered by Pima County Regional Food Control District, is being done to repair drainage in the area. The new concrete will protect the sewer lines from off-site storm drainage.

The construction is expected to be finished by the middle of May.

For more information regarding maps, updates, improvement and access, you can visit The Loop online or on Facebook at The Loop on Facebook.
