Findlay suspect found hiding in tree after stabbing

FINDLAY, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Findlay police arrested a man early Sunday morning accused of cutting two people.

Police were called to a home on the 1800 block of Blaine Street around 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

Officers found two people who had been cut during an assault. The suspect had fled.

He was located hiding in a tree in a wooded area nearby, according to police.

The suspect, Dustin Lanagan, 33, who lives at the home where the incident occurred, was taken into custody.

Lanagan is currently being held at the Hancock County Justice Center facing Aggravated Assault charges.

One of the victims had to be transported to Blanchard Valley Hospital for treatment. He was later released.

    According to Rural/Metro officials, crews arrived at the scene to find that a house under renovation, was engulfed in flames. It took 24 firefighters and eight units a half hour to get the fire under control.
